The Knoxville boys and Chariton had just 29 combined points in the first half, however both teams tuned it up a bit in the second half, but Chariton got a three ball to go with four seconds left in overtime to defeat Knoxville 45-42. The Panthers had a chance to win it at the end of regulation but both shots would not drop before time expired. Luke Moore had a great game with 21 points 11 rebounds, plus the team was 17/19 from the free throw line, however Coach Brad McWilliams said no matter how you look at it.., it was still a loss. He did say that Moore’s 21 points was a bright spot as was Zach Lenger’s effort on Chariton’s guards. Knoxville is 1-6 on the season.
