The Knoxville Public Library is holding several events coming up to escape the doldrums of winter. On Wednesday the library will have a free movie and popcorn from 1-4 pm, and coming up in January, they’ll have a book bash on January 23rd from 10-11:30 am, and they’ll also start back up their Chess Club starting January 13th and running through February 10th. Also, to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, they will hold a “Food for Fines” Day on January 18th; Each non-perishable food item patrons bring in is equal to $1.00 off in fines.
