The remaining 135 patients getting care at the Knoxville VA Campus are being transferred to a community living center in Des Moines this week. The future of the campus is unknown, although the Knoxville VA Task force recently met with representatives from educational institutions and local business leaders to share ideas regarding possible uses. A representative from Los Angles based Industrial Realty Group, or IRG, expressed interest in working with the task force and the community to find a tenant for the property once it is vacated.
