A Marion County man has been charged with assault with a weapon. Bruce Pettyjohn, 47, of Hamilton allegedly had an altercation with a group of men on Sunday when he pulled a shotgun from his vehicle, loaded it, racked it, first pointing it into the air and then at the group of men. According to Marion County Court documents, intentionally pointing a firearm or displaying one in a threatening manner is an aggravated misdemeanor. A preliminary hearing has been set for December 29 at 1:30 PM. The dispute was over a set of deer antlers.
