Central College football players Andy Kneib and Zach Van Arkel will be among over fifty of the top Division III players in the nation playing in today’s “Bowl of the Stars” in Mexico City.  Kneib will be on the offensive side of the ball, while Van Arkel will get to work under Dutch co-defensive coordinator Don De Waard, who was selected to coach the defense. 

De Waard says it’s an enjoyable experience to watch the players come together over the week, and says the defensive scheme will rely mostly on the talents of the players selected. 

The game pits team Stars and Stripes against some of the top collegiate players in Mexico and will be played on the Tec Monterrey Campus in Mexico City.  Three members of Central’s athletic training staff also made the trip.
