Arkansas-based Windstream Corporation’s acquisition of Newton-based Iowa Telecom is set to be finalized in mid-2010, but there will be no immediate impact on how they will continue to serve current customers and deliver the communications they’re used to. That’s according to Julie White, Director of Corporate Communications at Iowa Telecom. White also says customers will be able to keep their current Iowa Telecom e-mail addresses, and if they were to make a change for any reason, they would notify customers well in advance. Iowa Telecom provides local telephone, TV and internet service to mostly rural customers across the state.
