Two occupants of an SUV escaped a frightening accident shaken, but uninjured, after their vehicle left the roadway and rolled into a field Thursday afternoon. The accident happened approximately three miles east of Monroe on Highway 163 shortly before 2:30 p.m. The Monroe Fire Department and Ambulance responded to the scene, and the occupants of the vehicle were checked at the scene and released. The accident was investigated by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Slick road conditions may have been a factor in the accident.
