In an up-tempo defensive battle, the P-C-M Mustangs girls basketball team defeated North Polk 43-39. Shelby Houseman lead P-C-M with 14 points, with Jordan Wood adding 12 points in the winning effort. Each team continued to turn the heat up defensively through the night which forced many turnovers. The win gives P-C-M to 6 and 2 overall with a 4 and 2 record in the Heart of Iowa Conference. The Mustangs will host Collins-Maxwell-Baxter next Tuesday night.

The P-C-M Mustang boys basketball team continued their winning streak to four games after a 61-53 win over North Polk. P-C-M fell behind 25 to 14 at half time, only to break out with 47 point second half in a 61-53 win over North Polk. Hutch Burns, who scored eight points, keyed several momentum swinging layups and assists to help lead the Mustangs for another conference win. Scott Bruxvoort lead P-C-M in scoring with 18 points, and shut down the Comet’s leading scorer in the 2nd half. The Mustangs will look to remain undefeated in the Heart of Iowa Conference next Tuesday night when they host C-M-B.
