It’s been a slow start to the season for Pella wrestling due to weather but tonight they travel to rival Oskaloosa for a Little Hawkeye Conference dual. Pella coach Joe Burch says he hopes they can repeat what they did last year when they beat Osky for the first time in a long time. Burch says they’ll probably have a couple of open weights tonight but he feels good about the wrestlers they will put on the mats tonight. He says Brent Smith at 135, Lane Whitaker at 160, AJ Arendahl at 189 and Houston Naakpeboren at heavyweight all wrestled well last week at Webster City and he looks fo them to score some points tonight but says they need to pick up some wins at a few other weight classes to get the dual meet win. The JV matches start at 6:30pm tonight followed by varsity at Oskaloosa.
