The Knoxville City Council set a public hearing date on the West Sewer Relief Project. The hearing will be held during the regularly scheduled city council meeting on Monday, January 4th at 6:15 pm in City Hall. The council will propose to enter into a Sewer Revenue Loan and Disbursement Agreement and to issue Sewer Revenue Bonds in a principal not to exceed $4 million. City Manager Dick Schrad says the total cost of the sewer project will be in the neighborhood of $3.9 million. The project will help to prevent sewer overflows and back-ups into homes.
