We have been telling about the Iowa State Youth Duals coming to Knoxville next Sunday. 14 teams from around the state will bring 15-to-20 wrestlers from K-through-eighth grade to compete. Knoxville Wrestling Coach Eric Whitcome says club and youth programs mean a lot to schools that have strong wrestling programs and each of these team coming to Knoxville have strong programs that were started by youth and club wrestling. Whitcome ads the Knoxville youth and club programs are making strides to get kids ready to wrestle at the high school level. He says with a good club and youth programs and good coaching at the high school level Knoxville can be a wrestling team to be reckoned with.
