A Celebration of Life Service for David “Coach Dave” Bender, aged 74, formerly of Pella, will be held Saturday, January 23rd, at 2:00 p.m at the First Baptist Church in Pella. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Pella High School Basketball Program.

Dave Bender coached the Pella High School boys basketball team from 1961 to 1984 and also taught Driver’s Education and P.E. He passed away on December 12th, 2009 in Arizona.
