Dave Vanderhoff, physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist at Work Systems Rehab and Fitness in Pella says those exercising should dress in layers, with a base layer that wicks moisture away from the body. He also recommends drinking plenty of fluids and keeping the head and neck covered as ways to avoid potential health risks that come with exercise in cold weather.
