Now in the third day following the deadly earthquake that hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti, three Pella families have finally received the news they’d been hoping to hear. Information posted on the Central Texas Orphan Mission Alliance (CTOMA) website by President Karen Kruse Hall states that a news crew found the orphanage and all of the children there are safe. That includes five children in the process of being adopted by three families in Pella.

The report states that the all nine of the children were on the second story of the orphanage when the earthquake hit and were able to run outside to safety. They are sleeping on mattresses on the ground outside, but are all unhurt. KNIA/KRLS News will bring you more information as it becomes official.
