Last week Twin Cedars Girls Basketball player Lindsay Hoehns became only the fourth girl’s basketball player in five-on-five history in Iowa to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds. This week she earned an honor for her efforts in the classroom. Hoehns became the second consecutive girl in Marion County to be awarded the E. Wayne Cooley Scholarship. Hoehns received the scholarship by being an outstanding athlete…plus an outstanding student in the classroom.
