The Pella boys kept their win streak alive and completed the season sweep of Oskaloosa winning last night 48-34. After a slow start to the game that saw Pella leading 4-0 halfway through the first quarter, the Little Dutch caught fire and ended the quarter with a 20-0 lead. That was clearly the difference as Osky outscored Pella the rest of the way 34-28. Pella coach Mark Core gave Osky credit for battling back but said he was very happy with their effort, especially on the defensive end. For the second straight game Pella played without their leading scorer Nathan Buchheit and other players had to step up in hus absence. Last night it was Chris Bandstra who led the way with 13 points and several offensive and defensive rebounds, Blaine Forsythe scored 10 and Josh Pringel added nine. Pella improved to 10-2 overall and 8-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. They are off until next Tuesday when they play South Tama.
