Following a sound 68-48 defeat of Centerville Tuesday night, it might be easy for the Pella Christian boys to put themselves on “cruise control” going in to tomorrow night’s game. However, Head Coach Larry Hessing says one of the things that helped the Eagles to be successful against the Big Red was the energy and intensity carried into the game from practice the day before, and he says that needs to continue.

“I told the guys in the locker room after the game, after a big win the tendency might be to just kind of float and relax and just go through the motions a little bit the next two days feeling good about yourself,” said Hessing, “but our job is to come to practice and try to improve and try to get better.”

Pella Christian will try and begin another win streak tomorrow night, as South Tama comes to Pella. The Eagles are 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
