After a tough loss to Washington on Saturday, the Pella Christian boys basketball team will try and regroup with a home contest against Oskaloosa. Eagles’ Head Coach Larry Hessing says that the team’s win earlier this season at Oskaloosa doesn’t mean he expects the Indians to lay down tonight.

“We played a really good game over at Oskaloosa, and I know they’ll come in looking to do better against us than they did the first time,” said Hessing. “Every game is tough in this conference, it seems, for us, so we’re expecting another tough battle.”

Pella Christian handed Oskaloosa an 85-57 loss on December 11th. Live play-by-play from Pella Christian High School will be streamed online at www.kniakrls.com, following the girls’ game at around 7:30 p.m.; and can also be heard on a delayed broadcast at 10:00 p.m. on 92.1 fm KRLS.

Fans are also reminded that the Eagles will be holding a soup supper prior to the games tonight as part of their Coaches vs Cancer fundraiser. Athletics Director Verlan Nikkel says all fans are invited to enjoy a delicious meal which will include chicken and rice or chili soups, a breadstick, cookie and beverage for a freewill offering with all proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Society.

They will be serving in the Pella Christian High School Commons right outside the gymnasium entrance from 5-6:30pm tonight. Nikkel also encourages all fans from Oskaloosa and Pella Christian to wear pink to the games and show their support in the fight against cancer.
