In a tightly contested game that featured 14 lead changes and 8 ties, the Pella Christian boys basketball team used a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter to jump ahead for good in a 55-41 home victory over Oskaloosa. The Eagles sank 21 of 30 free throws, led by Kyle Nikkel; who knocked down 11 of 12 of his attempts. It was a big night at both ends of the floor for Nikkel, who finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds – game highs in both categories. The win for Pella Christian moves the Eagles up to 11-3 on the season and 8-2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, with a road game against Newton coming up Friday night.
