Three Pella families whose adopted children were still in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, when Tuesday’s earthquake struck have been told that their children are ok. The families received the good news Thursday afternoon from a television news crew that had been informed of the plight of the Haitian orphans. The mothers of the children tell KNIA/KRLS News they are relieved to know their children are uninjured, but worry what will happen to them if they can not be extradited soon to the United States. A total of nine children lived at the orphanage, and the families are working to have all of them brought to Pella.
