The Pella girls dominated from start to finish at Oskaloosa last night winning 70-22. Pella led 22-7 after one quarter and 36-16 at halftime. If there was any doubt of the outcome at that point, Pella completely erased that, outscoring Osky 23-1 in the third quarter. Coach Jarod Garland said the girls could have shifted into cruise control mode in the second half, but they didn’t. Pella only allowed six Osky points and two Osky field goals the entire second half. Garland was able to clear his bench for most of the fourth quarter and give some of his sophomores several minutes and he noted he was very impressed with how they played. Twelve players scored for Pella led by Makenzie VanderMolen and Jordyn Vandelune each with 10 points. With the win Pella improved to 9-2 overall and 8-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. They are off until Saturday when they play PCM in non conference action.
