[simage=1479,200,y,right] The game was tied 8-8 after one quarter, but Pella outscored the Tigers 20-9 in the second quarter to hold a 28-17 advantage at halftime. The second half was fairly even as Pella only outscored the Tigers by five points. Coach Jarod Garland says that second quarter run was key in the win and he credited his three seniors Courtney kelderman, Jordyn Vandelune and Whitney Pavlat with coming up big on senior night. Kelsey Fynaardt led Pella with 13 points including nine in the second half, Courtney Kelderman added 12 and Whitney Pavlat who got the start on senior night scored 10 including two three pointers. Pella improved to 12-2 on the season and 10-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Next week is a big week for the Lady Dutch as they host cross town rival Pella Christian Tuesday then go to undefeated Knoxville Friday night. A win in both games and Pella will earn no worse than a tie for the conference title.
