Recent legislation passed limiting the amount of pseudoephedrine that can be purchased because it is they key ingredient in methamphetamine.  While this is a step in the right direction, one Marion County undercover agent says there are definitely improvements that can be made in the law.  The agent stated that though there is one central hub in the state of Iowa set to monitor the amount of pseudoephedrine purchased it is not monitored as closely as it could be.  He said that in order for law enforcement to be able to access the records they have to visit each store and check the logs, with is less than ideal.
