Led by junior Kurtis Brondyke, the Central College men’s track team claimed five victories at Saturday’s Cornell Hilltop Invitational. Brondyke won both the long jump and high jump, posting an indoor-best 22 feet, 3 inches in the long jump; and a career-best 6 feet, 7.5 inches in the high jump. He also ran a leg on the winning 4×400-meter relay team.

The Central men’s other top finishes came from senior Mitch Morris, who won the 200-meter dash, and junior Matt Graber, who claimed first in the shot put with an all-time best toss of 51 feet, 9-and-three-quarters inches.

The Central women’s track team also competed at Saturday’s meet, highlighted by sweeping the top three places in the 400 meter dash and a second place finish in the high jump. No team scores were kept at the meet. The Dutch track and field teams will compete again on Saturday in Monmouth, Illinois for the Monmouth Invitational.
