The Pella boys basketball team has been known for two things this season…hustle and aggressiveness and defense.

Coach Mark Core says those areas are a major emphasis each day in practice and when they do those two things well things usually turn out in their favor. He says overall they’re not the best shooting team, so it’s rebounding and forcing their opponents into turnovers that get them extra posessions throughout a game and that’s what has gotten them to this point. Pella will have another re match coming up on Monday night when they face Norwalk for the third time this season in the Class 3A Sub State game at SE Polk with the winner advancing to the boys State Basketball Tournament. The two teams split during the regular season and shared the LHC title.
