Demolition work has begun on the former Pella Christian High School building near Pella Regional Health Center. Since acquiring the property, Pella Regional had looked into multiple possibilities for using the building, but it was determined that renovation was not a practical option and the building’s current condition posed a safety risk. Asbestos removal at the former Pella Christian High School began at the beginning of this month and plans are for the building to be completely torn down by early May.
