Local Athletes Compete in Special Olympics Basketball Skills

Students from PCM and Pleasantville schools competed in Special Olympics Basketball Skills recently. Haley Stevens from PCM and Marissa Schletzbaum and Michelle Turnage from Pleasantville competed in target pass, ten-meter dribble and six spot shots skill competitions, at Ankeny Middle School earlier this month. Haley Stevens earned a blue ribbon at the competition, Michelle Turnage won a red ribbon and Marissa Schletzbaum received a yellow ribbon. Stevens will advance to the Mid-Winter Tournament in Iowa City on March 12th and 13th.
