Saturday is the final day to register for a creative contest to benefit children in Haiti. Titus Hopkins, a kindergartner from Pella concocted the idea with help from his mother to have participants build Lego® creations that would be judged for prizes.

Hopkins was inspired to design the fundraiser when he learned at church that just one quarter could provide a meal for children in Haiti. The cost to enter the contest is $5 for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, and $10 for sixth through twelfth grade students. Proceeds from the entry fees would benefit Many Hands for Haiti.

Rules and a registration form are available at Marion County Bank of the Third Reformed Church in Pella, and available online at www.marioncountybank.com. The registration form and entry fee needs to be submitted at Marion County Bank by Saturday. Participants will bring their Lego® creations to Marion County Bank next Saturday, February 27th.
