The Central College men’s basketball team faces Illinois Wesleyan Friday evening in the opening round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament in St. Louis. It’s the ninth trip to the big dance for Central, but is the first time the Dutch have made the field in 15 years. Central comes in with a school-record 23 wins and is riding a ten-game win streak.

The Central men are led by this year’s Iowa Conference Coach of the Year, Mike Boschee, and guided on the floor by senior guard Miguel Ley, who was recently named conference Most Valuable Player. The opening-round game will be played on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, with the opening tip scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Coverage of the game will be broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS. With a win, the Central men would play again Saturday at the same venue.
