Friday’s loss in the opening round of the national tournament ended an incredible season for the Central College men’s basketball team, and also concluded the careers of five seniors who made up the entire starting line-up for much of the season. Zach Cooper, Mark Holan, Miguel Ley, Loren Liming and Justin Madsen finished their careers by winning more games in the season than any team before them and winning the Iowa Conference regular season and tournament titles.

Head Coach Mike Boschee says he’s been proud of the way the seniors matured and says they’ve provided a great example this year for the team’s underclassmen. Of course the departure of the starting five will be felt statistically as well, as the group accounted for nearly 76% of the team’s scoring output for the season.
