Progress is being for the future Pocket Park in Knoxville as the Public Works department began concrete removal Monday morning. Dennis Webb from Public Works says all cement should be removed by the end of the week. Park designer Harv Sprafka says once the cement is removed they will be bringing in dirt and soil. He adds that trees will be delivered this Friday, and are large enough that they should have an immediate impact on the look of the park. The planting process is scheduled to begin April 24th. The pocket park will be located on the east side of Roche Street between Marion and Main in Knoxville.
