A year ago, Former Knoxville Baseball Standout Grant Grugerich was living a dream playing college baseball on the division one level at Northern Iowa. But when U-N-I decided to drop baseball at the end of last season Grugerich was left without a team to play for. A year later he finds himself playing at the N-C-A-A division level, still in the Missouri Valley Conference at Indiana State. One reason Grugerich chose Indiana State over other colleges is because his coach at Northern Iowa Rick Heller is now the coach at Indiana State. So far Grugerich has played in five of the teams’ 11 games and has five hits and three R-B-I. The Sycamores are 7-4 on the season and head to Dayton, Ohio for a tournament this weekend.
