The rapidly-rising Saylorville Resevoir has residents in some areas of Des Moines keeping a close eye on the forecast, and high river levels further up the Des Moines River will also mean rising water levels coming to Lake Red Rock. State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says it’s likely that Red Rock will see the water level rise in large increments in much the same way Saylorville Lake has, but says the amount of precipitation received throughout the state in the next two weeks will dictate the possibility of flooding in Marion County.
