Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Contributes to Local Economy

According to a study by the Iowa Hospital Association, the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics generates 245 jobs that add $13,706,351 to Knoxville’s economy. In addition, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics employees contribute $193,521 in state sales tax revenue and spend over three million dollars on retail sales locally. CEO Ann Helwig says all employees at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics says take their role and responsibilities very seriously which affects our community’s quality of life in a positive way. The Iowa Hospital Association study examined jobs, income, retail sales and sales tax by in the state’s health care sector, which includes employed clinicians, long-term care services, assisted living centers pharmacies and other medical and health services.
