A Knoxville Police Officer was called to a location on Iowa Street around 10pm Thursday for a report of an out of control client that assaulted a worker and caused property damage. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA KRLS news, 22 year-old Nicholas Kennel was arrested for assault with injury. Once in handcuffs Kennel began resisting the arrest and spitting at and kicking the officer. Kennel was charged with assault with injury, disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer, criminal mischief 3rd, interference with official acts, and public intoxication. Losada says the investigation continues and additional charges are pending. Kennel is being held at the Marion County jail awaiting a $4,000 bail.
