About 60 people turned out to share memoires from the 1949, ’51, 75, and 2010 Knoxville Girls basketball squads that made the state tournament. Each team was spotlighted and a common theme came up with all four teams, hard work, dedication, and being and close knit team. Two of the coaches were also in attendance Darold Swisher who coached the 1975 team and Jim Utiermarkt who is the current coach. Many of the players especially from the 1949 and ’51 teams shared memoires of what basketball was like when they played like not dribbling more than once and the uniforms that were worn. The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame hosted the event.
