In honor of national Cover the Uninsured Week, Marion County Public Health is working to build awareness about available governmental insurance for children in the area. Hawk-I Coordinator, Diane Ellis says she wants to stress that healthy children do better in school, and a healthy child will grow up to be a healthy adult. Ellis adds that many families that are eligible have never accessed a governmental program and may not know how to apply for coverage and Marion County Public Health is there to help walk people through the process. For more information stop by the Marion County Public Health office at 104 South Sixth in Knoxville or call Diane Ellis at 641-828-2238.
