The Pella High School boys basketball team returned from Des Moines as State Runner-Up, as the Little Dutch fell to defending champion Sioux City Bishop Heelan 50-45 in Saturday night’s Class 3-A State Championship game. Pella senior Nathan Buchheit was named to the All-Tournament Team. The Little Dutch finished their impressive season with an overall record of 22-4. Family members, friends and supporters welcomed the team home on Saturday night with a reception at the Pella High School gymnasium.
