Study: Pella Hospital Boosts Local Economy

Pella Regional Health Center generates more than 850 jobs and adds over $37.5 million dollars to the local economy. That’s according to a recent study conducted by the Iowa Hospital Association. The study also determined that the employees of Pella Regional contribute over $8.8 million in taxable retail sales. The Iowa Hospital Association’s report found that nearly 150,000 jobs in Iowa are tied to the state’s hospitals, creating an overall impact worth more than $6.1 billion to Iowa’s economy.
