Juveniles who need to be sent to detention facilities will now be going to a start of the art facility in Eldora, Iowa. The Marion County Board of Supervisors signed an agreement with the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center at their regular meeting Monday morning. Marion County had an agreement with the CIJDC in the past, which expired in June of 2009. Due to the closures of other facilities in the area the county decided it was beneficial to begin another agreement with CIJDC and the supervisors were happy with the fact that the center would transport juvenile offenders to and from their facilities free of charge.
