Former Pleasantville pitching standout Chelsea Thomas had an outstanding weekend for the University of Missouri Softball Squad. She went 3-0 at the N-F-C-A Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia and was named the tournament’s top pitcher. In 21 complete innings pitched, she struck out 26 batters and walked just one which stopped a streak of 19 straight innings of not issuing a walk. Thomas has a record of 6-1 on the season with a 3.08 E-R-A, and has struck out 57 batters in 38 2/3 innings. The number six Tigers recorded victories over number four Michigan, Virginia Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Massachusetts, and Radford.
