Iowa National Guard Sergeant Chad Ford addressed the Knoxville City Council at their meeting Monday to give an update about the renovation of the armory in Knoxville. According to Ford, construction is going well and they will be able to move back into the local armory earlier than they had originally expected. He stated that construction should be done by the end of May and the soldiers should be able to move everything back in and use the armory this June. Ford says they are in the process of planning a rededication celebration upon completion.
