Athletes from two of Central College’s men’s spring sports were recognized as this week’s Iowa Conference performers of the week. Central pitcher Joel Pulliam and the track and field relay squad of Mitch Morris, Logan Danko, Kyle Wood and Allen Scovel were tabbed for the league honors based on their accomplishments last week.

The Dutch quartet of Morris, Danko, Wood and Scovel were named track performers of the week following a fourth place finish in the 4×100 Meter Relay in the College Division of the Drake Relays. Their time of 41.32 was their best this season and ranks them first in the conference and third in all of Division III.

Pulliam earned league pitcher of the week honors following a complete-game, three-hit shutout against Simpson last Saturday. The weekly awards marked the fifth consecutive week that Central has received conference honors in track and field, and is the second time a member of the Central baseball team has been recognized this season.
