A name has been selected for the newest academic building on the Central College campus. Temporarily known as the education and psychology building, the newest addition is now called the Roe Center, in honor of President David and Betsy Roe. Roe has served as president of Central College for the past 12 years and continued to promote sustainability on the Central campus, which is now integral to the college’s mission.

The new building was recently awarded a platinum LEED rating, the highest rating from the U.S. Green Building Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The college’s Board of Trustees wanted to do something special to show appreciation for the efforts of the Roe family and approved the naming of the building last Friday.
