The Central women’s 4×200-meter relay team set an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark and shattered a school record that stood for 33 years at Drake yesterday. The team finished sixth in a 35 team field in 1:42.83 besting the old record by over two seconds. Central also became a provisional national meet qualifier in the men’s 4×400-meter relay, although the team missed the finals. The Dutch men’s 4×100-meter relay unit qualified for the College Division final at 4:50 p.m. Saturday. The women’s 4×400-meter relay squad also achieved a season best . In other women’s action, the Dutch were 20th in the distance medley, meanwhile the Central men’s 4×200-meter relay team was 12th out of 25 teams in a season-best time. Central had two individuals selected to compete in combined University/College Division events. Matt Graber was 10th in his flight in the shot put and . Kurtis Brondyke was 12th in his javelin flight.’
