The adoption of a Haitian girl who was rescued by her adoptive parents from Port-au-Prince, Haiti just days after this January’s devastating earthquake was recognized with a ceremony this past Wednesday. The ceremony, held at the Marion County Courthouse, was for Maya Poulter, daughter of Matt and Mandy Poulter of Pella. Ceremonies were also held for the adopted sons of Mark and Jamie Kriegel of Pella, who brought the brothers to Pella from Haiti in 2007 and 2009.
