Knoxville Girls Soccer is two-and-one on the season after a win over South Tama last week. Coach Charley Fisher has been pleased with the overall performance of his team. He especially notes the defense has been very good. One player he credits is senior defender Amber Weldon. Fisher adds this is Weldon’s second year at defender and she has been improving her game. Fisher says offensively the girls are still trying to find their way. He says Stacia Houge, Tiffany Just, Bethany Just and Jess Fresh have emerged as scoring threats.
