A celebration for one Knoxville business’s golden anniversary will take place this weekend. Village Theatre in downtown Knoxville has been in business for 50 years. The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Ambassadors are hosting a celebration Saturday to show the theatre how much they appreciate its business and loyalty to Knoxville and honoring Carl Schwanebeck’s many years of service in the community. The event will take place beginning at noon in front of the theatre, located at 212 East Robinson and free hot dogs and pop will be available.
