The Knoxville School Board discussed improvement suggestions from the Iowa Board of Education at their meeting Monday night. The areas that were focused on were curriculum and instruction, monitoring student assessments, and professional development. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says the district needs to work to meet the needs of each student in the district because each student at each grade level responds to things differently. He said the district will also be taking a closer look at student assessments to improve test scores and academic achievement.
