The Pella girls track team rode strong performances in the sprint and relay events to distance themselves from the field, as the Little Dutch won last night’s girls’ team title at the Pella Christian Coed. Pella had 151 points, highlighted by wins in the 200 meter dash, 800 meter run, 400 meter hurdles, 4×200, 4×400, 4×800 and Distance Medley relays.

Host school Pella Christian finished in third in the girls standings with 97 points, with wins in the 400 meter dash, 3000 meter run and long jump. The Pleasantville girls team also took part in the meet, finishing in eighth place in the team standings with 12 points, led by a second-place finish in the shot put.

On the boys’ side, PCM finished in third place with 88 points, Pella Christian boys were 4th with 86 points, Pleasantville finished 6th with 49 points, and the Pella boys JV squad took eighth place.

PCM’s top performances included a victory in the 200 meter dash, while Pella Christian earned wins in the 400 and 800 meter runs, long jump and 4×800 meter relay. The Pleasantville boys performed well in the relay events, claiming second in the 4×800 and finishing third in the 4×100, 4×200 and Shuttle Hurdle relays.
